The latest evolution Aprilia RSV4 has been designed for racers and built for riders, featuring unprecedented performance and state of the art technology which has been developed on the race track. The brand new engine produces 201 HP at 13,000 RPM and is the lightest and most powerful RSV4 ever built. Offering unprecedented customisation abilities allows the rider to adjust the suspension, technology and even the frame. The Aprilia RSV4 RR has racing in its mindset and its DNA.
The Aprilia Performance Ride Control Package (APRC), Ride by Wire (rBW) and Selectable Engine Mapping have been derived from the incredible success Aprilia has achieved in the World Superbike Championship. This technology has set a new benchmark in performance and handling which provides an unprecedented riding experience.
Aprilia take innovation to the next level with the V4-MP which is available as an accessory. Using your smart phone the V4-MP allows you to communicate directly with your motorcycle in real time. Offering active electronic setup, adaptive race assistant and an advanced telemetry dashboard the V4-MP provides you the technology, innovation and expertise that Aprilia have developed on the racetrack.
Thanks to the patented “slip control” system, Aprilia Traction Control (aTC) allows the motorcycle to obtain a better grip on the road and track by managing the power delivery according to the angle of the motorcycle. The rider can select from eight traction control settings even whilst riding the motorcycle with an open throttle. The aTC system also adjusts to the wheel diameter to ensure that the rider obtains an accurate response regardless of the tyre chosen.
Aprilia’s Ride By Wire (RbW) engine control system is a technologically advanced electronic system which allows the rider to select from three engine maps. Each of these maps adjust the power delivery from the engine and transforms the character of the motorcycle.
Anti-Lock Braking System was developed to guarantee maximum safety on the road whilst providing optimum performance on the track. Aprilia worked in close collaboration with Bosch to provide optimum calibration.
Aprilia Quick Shift technology allows the rider to shift up through the gears without using the clutch and without closing the throttle. This technology allows for consistent engine speed which results in faster lap times. The system has been design to include three calibrations, the calibration is determined based upon the different RPM thresholds.
Aprilia Wheelie Control ensures optimal acceleration control. This is achieved by the aWC detecting if the front wheel is lifting and gently placing it back onto the road or track. The aWC technology offers three different settings depending on the rider’s preference.
Aprilia Launch Control (aLC) has been designed to provide optimal power delivery from a standing start. The aLC technology works together with aWC in order to maximise acceleration and take off.
